Kraken's Michal Kempny: On unconditional waivers

Seattle put Kempny on unconditional waivers Thursday, according to Greg Wyshynski of ESPN.com.

Kempny already cleared regular waivers Monday. If he clears unconditional waivers, then Kempny and the Kraken can decide to terminate his contract and part ways. That would allow him to play in Europe if he so chooses. He has a goal in two AHL contests this season.
