Panthers' Matt Luff: Secure tryout with Cats

Luff signed a professional tryout agreement with Florida on Wednesday, David Dwork of The Hockey News reports.

Luff last saw action in the NHL back in 2022-23 when he made 19 appearances for the Red Wings. In those outings, the winger managed two goals and two assists. Luff figures to be competing for a two-way contract that would allow him to play in the NHL but is more likely to spend the majority of the campaign in the minors with AHL Charlotte if the Panthers sign him to a full contract.
