Panthers' Samuel Montembeault: Waived by Panthers

Montembeault was placed on waivers by Florida on Friday, CapFriendly reports.

Sergei Bobrovsky and Spencer Knight are locked in as Florida's top-two netminders, and it appears as though the Panthers may prefer to have Christopher Gibson as their No. 3 goalie, so Montembeault will likely spend most, if not all of the upcoming campaign in the minors.
