Red Wings' Taro Hirose: Lands on waivers

Hirose was placed on waivers Friday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Hirose managed only three NHL games last season, so it's no surprise that the 27-year-old was unable to crack the Detroit lineup. He'll begin 2023-24 with AHL Grand Rapids if he passes through waivers unclaimed.
