Sharks' Evgeny Svechnikov: Hurt in first period

Svechnikov (undisclosed) won't return to Thursday's game versus the Kraken, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

Svechnikov took a heavy hit in the first period and immediately left the ice. The 26-year-old has gone nine games without a point. If he can't play Saturday versus the Islanders, the Sharks may need to recall a forward.
