  • Sabres' Brandon Montour: Still out for a while
    By RotoWire Staff

Montour (hand) is expected to miss three more weeks, Lance Lyskowski of The Buffalo News reports. The Sabres are off to a strong start at 2-0-1, but they still have a few questions on defense and could use Montour back for the long haul, as he's a versatile blueliner that should fill out the top four nicely. It sounds like they'll have to wait awhile for his first appearance of the season.

  • Sabres' Brandon Montour: Out 3-4 weeks
    By RotoWire Staff

Montour is expected to be sidelined for 3-4 weeks due to a hand injury. This news suggests Montour will miss the first 10 games of the 2019-20 campaign at a minimum. Once healthy, the 25-year-old blueliner should return to a middle-pairing role and a spot on the Sabres' second power-play unit.

  • Montour (hand) will remain sidelined for a few more weeks, John Vogl of The Athletic reports. Montour missed the entire preseason for the Sabres, and won't be making an immediate return. He's had a rough go lately, having suffered injuries to his MCL and hand during the offseason. Buffalo has defensive depth, so there's no need to rush his season debut. He'll be placed on injured reserve until he's ready to return.

  • Montour will miss the rest of Buffalo's preseason schedule due to a hand injury. The Sabres have yet to release any details regarding a potential timetable for Montour's recovery aside from the fact that he'll be sidelined through Sept. 28 at a minimum. At this point it looks like he's in serious jeopardy of missing the team's Oct. 3 regular-season opener against Pittsburgh. Additional details regarding his status should surface prior to that contest.

  • Sabres' Brandon Montour: Back to full health
    By RotoWire Staff

Montour has fully recovered from his MCL injury, John Vogl of The Athletic reports. Montour sustained a knee injury during the 2019 IIHF World Championship, but he's ready for training camp as expected. The blueliner registered 10 points in 20 contests after being acquired by the Sabres in February, and posted a career-best 35 points in 82 games split between Buffalo and Anaheim last season. He'll look to build on that success during his first full campaign in the blue and gold.
