  • Ducks' Patrick Eaves: Expected to make full recovery
    By RotoWire Staff

Eaves (illness) has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome. After battling injuries all season, it seems that Eaves was feeling signs of weakness, which resulted in him visiting the hospital last week where they found symptoms of Guillain-Barre syndrome. After spending the weekend in the hospital, the 33-year-old is now reportedly on track to make a full recovery and his condition has now stabilized. Eaves is aiming to return to the ice as soon as possible, but should be considered out indefinitely until a further update is provided by the team.

  • Ducks' Patrick Eaves: Won't travel with team
    By RotoWire Staff

Eaves (lower body) will not join the Ducks on their upcoming four-game road trip, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports. Eaves -- who has already been placed on injured reserve -- will remain back in Anaheim while the club heads out on an East Coast trip. The news effectively rules the winger out until the Ducks return home Nov. 1 against the Maple Leafs. Injuries have limited the veteran to just two appearances so far this season.

  • Ducks' Patrick Eaves: Designated for injured reserve
    By RotoWire Staff

Eaves (lower body) was placed on injured reserve, per the NHL's official media site. The move is retroactive to Oct. 13, meaning that Eaves can return as soon as Tuesday against Philadelphia. Still, with the 33-year-old dealing with injuries throughout training camp and missing several practices in the last week, the coaching staff might choose to take a cautious route with the winger. Look for the team to update his status prior to Tuesday's game.

  • Ducks' Patrick Eaves: Negative outlook for Friday
    By RotoWire Staff

Eaves (lower body) is unlikely to play Friday against Montreal. The veteran right wing has been dealing with injury issues since training camp and has been limited to just two games this season. Eaves hasn't practiced since missing Sunday's tilt with Buffalo, which seems to indicate that he could be racing against the clock to try to get back in the lineup in time for the team's next game, Tuesday in Philadelphia. The Ducks should issue updates on Eaves status over the weekend and leading up to Tuesday.

  • Ducks' Patrick Eaves: Absent from Wednesday practice
    By RotoWire Staff

Eaves (lower body) did not take part in the team's practice session Wednesday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports. Eaves missed the first three contests of the season because of the lower-body issue and returned for just two contests before missing another. It appears as though it could nag him for a bit, but he hasn't been ruled out for Friday at this point. Expect another update on his status before the contest.
