Maccelli scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Senators.

Maccelli stretched his point streak to five games with the goal. That stretch accounts for all of his offense (two goals, four assists) on the season. The 26-year-old has added 13 shots on net and a plus-3 rating. Maccelli was on the top line and first power-play unit Thursday. With more of a focus on shooting the puck in the early going this year, he could get back into the form that saw him rack up 57 points in 82 games for the Coyotes in 2023-24.

Greig scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 2-1 shootout win over the Islanders.

Greig battled a strain in the Senators' game versus the Blues on Tuesday, but he was able to avoid missing a contest. The 24-year-old centered the fourth line and delivered the Senators' lone goal in regulation Thursday. He has two points, nine shots on net, six hits, five blocked shots, six PIM and a plus-2 rating over six appearances. Greig has moved around the lineup a fair amount early in the season, so it remains to be seen where he'll settle in for the long run.

Evangelista (illness) won't travel with the team ahead of Saturday's game against Washington, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.

Evangelista will be unavailable for a third consecutive matchup as he continues to deal with a fever, but the Devils are hopeful that he'll be able to return for Tuesday's game against Colorado. The 24-year-old has recorded two goals, an assist, four blocked shots, four PIM and a hit while averaging 17:13 of ice time over his first five appearances of the regular season.

Granlund (upper body) wasn't on the ice for Friday's morning skate, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports, indicating that he isn't expected to play against the Bruins.

Granlund is considered day-to-day due to his upper-body injury after missing Thursday's practice session, and it appears as though he'll be sidelined for at least one game. Roger McQueen and A.J. Greer are candidates to see increased roles Friday against Boston, while Granlund's next opportunity to return will be Monday against the Rangers.

Blackwood will start Friday's home game against the Penguins, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports.

Blackwood got the night off in the second half of a back-to-back set Tuesday against Dallas, but he'll be between the pipes Friday for the sixth time in Colorado's first eight games of the year. Across his previous five starts, he went 3-2-0 with a 3.04 GAA and .879 save percentage.

Sourdif didn't practice Friday due to his illness, and it's unclear whether the issue will impact his availability against New Jersey on Saturday. Pierre-Luc Dubois (illness) has already been ruled out for Saturday's matchup, so Ethen Frank will likely see playing time for the Capitals if Sourdif is sidelined. Regardless of Sourdif's status for Saturday's matchup, it's at least encouraging that the 24-year-old doesn't appear to be facing a long-term absence.

Lambos was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Friday.

Lambos was called up by Minnesota on Thursday, but he didn't appear in the team's 5-4 victory over the Blues. He'll head back to the minors a day later and should continue to see more consistent opportunities for playing time with the AHL club.

Head coach Rod Brind'Amour said Friday that Hall (upper body) is considered week-to-week, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.

Hall exited Tuesday's game against the Capitals due to his upper-body issue, and Brind'Amour said after the matchup that the injury didn't look good. The 34-year-old is now facing a multi-game absence, and it seems possible that he'll be placed on injured reserve at some point. Felix Unger Sorum could see time in the Hurricanes' lineup after being called up Thursday.
