Stevenson stopped 34 shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Hurricanes.

The 27-year-old netminder played well against a very tough opponent in just his eighth career NHL appearance, and two of Carolina's goals came on power plays, including Nikolaj Ehlers' game-winner in the third period. Stevenson has a respectable 3.09 GAA and .893 save percentage in three starts to begin the season, but it's not clear how much longer he'll keep his roster spot with Connor Hellebuyck's team suspension set to expire Friday.

Jankowski scored a power-play goal in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Jets.

The 32-year-old center continued his remarkable run, getting Carolina on the board midway through the second period with a quick shot through traffic past Clay Stevenson. Jankowski has found the back of the net in six straight games -- not bad for a bottom-six player who scored a grand total of 11 goals over 68 regular-season games in 2025-26. Saturday's tally was also Jankowski's first power-play goal since 2017-18 with the Flames, and just the third of his career. He is getting extra shifts and opportunities with Jordan Staal (calf) on the shelf, but shooting at a 40.0 percent rate simply isn't sustainable.

Ehlers scored the game-winning goal on the power play in Saturday's 3-2 victory over the Jets.

Facing the team he spent the first 10 seasons of his NHL career with, Ehlers broke a 2-2 tie early in the third period with a rocket from the high slot. It was the 30-year-old winger's first goal of 2026-27, and after delivering a career-high 71 points (26 goals, 45 assists) over 82 regular-season games for the Stanley Cup champions in his Carolina debut last year, Ehlers has five points in nine games to kick off the current campaign, with all but one helper coming on the power play.

Gostisbehere picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Jets.

The veteran blueliner helped set up tallies by Jesperi Kotkaniemi late in the second period and Nikolaj Ehlers early in the third to erase a 2-1 deficit for Carolina. Gostisbehere has had a strong start to the season, collecting two goals and seven points in nine games, with five of those points (one goal, four assists) coming on the power play.

Kochetkov made 21 saves in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Jets.

Twice Carolina had to rally from one-goal deficits in the second period, but Kochetkov slammed the door on Winnipeg in the third, giving Nikolaj Ehlers a chance to pot a revenge goal for the game-winner. Kochetkov has started three straight games for the Hurricanes and appears to have moved ahead of the Brandon Bussi on the depth chart for the moment, going 5-0-0 to begin the season with a stellar 1.78 GAA and .912 save percentage.

Greaves stopped all 29 shots he faced in Saturday's 1-0 overtime win over the Rangers.

Greaves bounced back impressively after surrendering 11 goals across his previous four appearances, earning his first shutout of the season while posting his second-highest save total of the season. The 25-year-old netminder also helped Columbus kill all three New York power plays, providing a much-needed improvement following the team's recent defensive struggles. While his early-season inconsistency remains a concern, Saturday's performance offers encouragement for fantasy managers relying on him for starts and wins.

Johnson scored a goal on four shots in Saturday's 1-0 overtime win over the Rangers.

Johnson has scored in three consecutive games, bringing his season total to a team-leading four goals, and he's cracked the scoresheet in all but one of his six appearances to date. The 24-year-old winger is enjoying an excellent start to the season, and while this scoring pace is unsustainable, his numbers and overall involvement on offense have been encouraging for fantasy managers. Set in the first line on both even-strength and power-play situations, Johnson should continue to have ample opportunities to keep scoring.

Garand stopped 28 of 29 shots in Saturday's 1-0 overtime loss to the Blue Jackets.

Garand delivered an impressive performance despite receiving no offensive support and finished with a .966 save percentage. The 24-year-old netminder kept Columbus scoreless through regulation before surrendering the overtime winner to Kent Johnson. Garand seems to have taken over as the Rangers' No. 1 goaltender following Igor Shesterkin's season-ending lower-body injury. In his last five appearances, Garand has gone 2-2-1 with a 2.28 GAA and a .911 save percentage -- and those numbers are inflated by an Oct. 15 outing against the Devils in which he allowed four goals on 13 shots.

Bolduc scored a goal on five shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sabres.

Bolduc continued his impressive early-season scoring form and has four goals already. Goals aside, Bolduc also set a new season-high mark in shots on goal with five, and he's attempted at least two shots in five of his eight contests. His recent finishing ability gives him considerable upside in deeper fantasy leagues, especially if his role continues to expand. He's also riding an interesting three-game point streak, with one goal and two assists in that span.

Caufield scored two goals on five shots, including the game-winner in overtime, in Saturday's 4-3 victory over the Sabres.

Caufield continued his strong start to the season, bringing his goal total to five through eight games. The 25-year-old winger scored his second goal just 54 seconds into overtime, extending his franchise record to 14 regular-season overtime goals. His consistent scoring production and prominent offensive role make him one of Montreal's most valuable fantasy assets, but the lack of consistency has been an issue. While he has five goals in eight games, he's also failed to crack the scoresheet in five of those outings.
