Andre Agassi (USATSI)
Andre Agassi says he played most of his career without wearing underwear. (USATSI)

Athletes are, as a group, some of the most superstitious people in the world. They'll try anything to get the right vibe or feeling, even if it can be a little disgusting, and once they find a routine that works they will stick with it.

There are plenty of stories of athletes choosing not to wash their uniform or socks or underwear while on a winning streak, but Andre Agassi took it to a whole other level during his career.

In an interview with Unscripted Sport on Twitter, Agassi revealed that he showed up to a French Open match early in his career without any underwear -- I have no idea how that happens, but alright -- and, refusing to wear his coach's underwear, played the match and won while going commando.

He kept this up throughout the tournament and won the tournament and then proceeded to not wear underwear for his entire career because it worked in Paris.

So all that time you spent watching Agassi on the court, dominating the tennis world, he was doing so with just those shorts on and nothing else.
