Bettor hits on 10-leg table tennis parlay, wins nearly $25K
This $100 bet went a long way
In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, there hasn't been much to bet on in the sports world. Gamblers have had to find new sports to pique their interest if they want to place wagers. Earlier this week, one William Hill Sportsbook bettor struck it big when he won nearly $25,000 on a 10-leg Russian table tennis parlay.
The bettor only wagered $100 on the parlay.

The bettor placed wagers on 10 favorites in the form of Oleg Nikiforov (-120), Dmitrii Basmanov (-165), Viktor Rakhmanov (-170), Oleg Pereguda (-115), Ihor Hudushyn (-160), Alexander Frolov (-150), Nikiforov (-130), Alexey Yanshaev (-145), Yurii Merkushin (-115) and Aleksandr Petrov (-115).
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, William Hill Director of Trading Nick Bogdanovich revealed that the sportsbook accepts more than $100,000 in wagers on a daily basis.
"I've never seen anything like it in 38 years," Bogdanovich said. It's the most mind-boggling thing of all-time. It's that way for everyone I talk to whether it's New Jersey or here."
Back in March, a William Hill Nevada bettor won nearly $10,000 when they placed a $50 bet on a 10-team table tennis parlay. With the majority professional sports currently on hiatus, bettors are finding ways to keep placing wagers and table tennis appears to be leading the charge.
