NASCAR suspends, fines Kyle Busch's interim crew chief, Ben Beshore
Beshore was fined $20,000 in addition to a one-race suspension for lug nut violations at Sonoma
Kyle Busch's No. 18 team was penalized Wednesday for improper installation of lug nuts during last weekend's race at Sonoma Raceway. Interim crew chief Ben Beshore was suspended one race and fined $20,000. Beshore has been filling in for Adam Stevens, who was suspended for four races after a tire violation at Dover. Stevens is set to return next week at Kentucky.
Joe Gibbs Racing will not appeal the suspension as Jacob Canter, who acted as crew chief in the Xfinity Series last week, will lead the No. 18 team at Daytona.
Yes. Unfortunately we had a missing lug nut on the LR post race. If it was only 1 it should b a $10k fine and move on. https://t.co/b8qfe2kYoJ

Busch has finished in the top 10 three consecutive times since Beshore took over, adding a fifth-place finish at Sonoma. The No. 18 is still winless on the season but sits fourth in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series standings heading into Saturday's race at Daytona, where Busch won in 2008.
