The 2017-18 PGA Tour schedule hosts its second event of the season this week with the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia -- an event co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and the Asia Tour. Justin Thomas is the Vegas favorite at 4/1.

Before you make any bets or enter a daily fantasy golf tournament on DraftKings or FanDuel, you'll want to hear what the team at SportsLine has to say.

SportsLine's prediction model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, nailed the Masters and U.S. Open, calling career-defining wins from Sergio Garcia and Brooks Koepka entering the weekend. It was all over Jordan Spieth at the British Open from the start and called the 24-year-old's third major win after the first round.

It was also all over Phil Mickelson's strong performance at the Safeway Open last week. Even though he only recorded one top-five finish the entire 2016-17 season, the model projected Mickelson to be one of the top six contenders. The result: Lefty surged to a third-place finish in last week's event.

Now that the field for the CIMB Classic is locked, SportsLine simulated the event 10,000 times, and the results were surprising.

The model is calling for: Jason Dufner, who had just two top-10 finishes last season, to make a run at the title. Dufner enters this tournament as a 50/1 long shot, according to Vegas. He's a target for anybody looking for a huge payday from this event.

Another curveball: Xander Schauffele, who finished third in the FedEx Cup rankings in 2016-17 and has the fourth-best odds (25/1) entering this event, doesn't even finish in the top 10. He's somebody to steer clear of this week.

Also, an extreme long shot is positioning himself to make a serious run this week. Anyone who bets on the big-time underdog could hit it big.

So who wins the 2017 CIMB Classic? And what long shots stun the golfing world? Check out the odds below and visit SportsLine now to see the full CIMB Classic projected leaderboard from the model that predicted Phil Mickelson's resurgence at the Safeway Open and find out.
