Colin Montgomerie: 'Tiger Woods is example of how practice doesn't work'
Colin Montgomerie thinks he practiced the right way for him and that Tiger Woods might practice too much.

The takes are always a little steamy when it comes to Colin Montgomerie, so it probably shouldn't be a surprise that he has Tiger Woods thoughts, but this is something special.
In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Montgomerie contrasted the way he practiced golf with the way Woods did (and does).
"One disadvantage of living in Scotland is the weather, so no, I don't practice that much, and I never really did. People say it's to my detriment, but I tend to think of the amount of people on a range in a European Tour event, practicing their mistakes and cementing those errors. I never did that.
Physically, I feel about 35, because I haven't had any injuries. Tiger Woods is a classic example of how practice, practice, practice doesn't work."
I get what he's saying about being 35 in golfing years versus Tiger's 55 (or whatever), and I know Montgomerie is referencing the present-day Woods and not his historic past.
But still.
