Gary Woodland plans to play at the Masters despite death of unborn baby
The No. 35 golfer in the world got some horrific news last week
Gary Woodland plans to play the 2017 Masters, but he will be doing so with an incredibly heavy heart this time around. Woodland withdrew from the WGC-Dell Match Play last week, and he revealed why on Twitter on Wednesday.
One of the two babies his wife Gabby is currently pregnant with passed away suddenly from complications.
“... There were complication with our recently announced pregnancy with twins,” he wrote. “Gabby and I have since had to cope with the heartbreaking loss of one of the babies, and our doctors will be closely monitoring the health of my wife and the other baby for the remainder of the pregnancy.”

Woodland went on to say he is likely going to play his fifth Masters. His best finish is a T24 in 2011. Woodland and his wife just announced their pregnancy on Instagram three weeks ago.
