The 2013-14 PGA Tour season is (finally) over, so it's time to hand out some awards.

I do wish the PGA Tour gave out more awards than just Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and (sometimes) Comeback Player of the Year.

It should throw Best Player to Not Win a Tournament and Most Reviled by Fans and Strongest Tour Sauce into the mix.

Heck, let's do that. I'm going to hand out regular awards and create some of my own (OK, we'll skip Most Reviled by Fans).

Here we go.

Player of the Year: It has to be Rory McIlroy. Two majors, a WGC win, and over $8 million made before the FexEx Cup bonus money...plus he, for a few weeks, made you forget about Tiger Woods (which should in and of itself be an award). When we think of this season 20 years from now, we will think of Tiger's injuries and Rory's dominance, that's it. That matters.

Rookie of the Year: I'm going with Victor Dubuisson. He didn't play a ton, but when he played, he played incredibly well -- a runner-up to Jason Day at the Match Play Championship and two top-10s in majors. That's far more than what the other Rookie of the Year candidates (Brooks Koepka and Chesson Hadley) accomplished.

Plus this is a "yeah, he's the Rookie of the Year" look from Jason Day:

Most Disappointing Season: It's hard to not say Tiger Woods here. Granted, he has excuses -- namely that he could barely lift a club for half the season -- but when your best finish in a season of seven starts is T-25 and most of your highlights are of WD, that's not a good thing.

Strongest Tour Sauce: Let's face it. Justin Rose really gets ripped off in this arena. His Tour Sauce game went to another level in 2014 and while he'll likely never catch the likes of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, he's not to be overlooked.

Best golfer without a win: I will be wondering this all fall and winter but how did Rickie Fowler not win this year? He racked up more money ($4.8 million) than everybody who did win other than McIlroy, Bubba Watson, Chris Kirk, Billy Horschel and Jimmy Walker -- and he became the only golfer other than Jack Nicklaus and Tiger (decent golfers!) to finish top five at all four majors in a single season.

It's not the award he wants but the parting gifts -- being one of the 5-6 biggest favorites to win a major in 2014 -- are nice.

Biggest Splash: If you would have asked me at any time throughout the season, I probably would have gone with Jordan Spieth, but I think based on the way things ended it's actually Billy Horschel. Horschel, by the way, would be No. 91 on the all-time money list for a career based on the 2013-14 season alone.

Best Performance: It's not close. The game Martin Kaymer flashed at Pinehurst for the US Open matched the logo on his shirt (BOSS):
