Golf is hard, especially when in the tall weeds by the hazard

Phil Mickelson is as good as there is with a wedge in his hand, right-handed or left-handed, but Lefty met his match on Friday at TPC Boston in the first round of the Deustche Bank Championship.
Mickelson found himself in the thick stuff on the edge of the water hazard at the sixth hole and decided to try and hack it out. He did not succeed the first time, but Phil isn't a quitter, so he took a second swing. Nothing.
Tough start for Phil Mickelson at TPC Boston.

This led to a quadruple-bogey 8. #QuickHitshttps://t.co/HBRQTKolWw
Mickelson eventually gave up and took his drop and went on to make a quadruple bogey 8 on the par 4.
What did we learn? Golf is hard, and even harder when trying to play out of the stuff that grows around ponds.
