The Angels acquired reliever Cory Rasmus from the Braves Monday in exchange for reliever Scott Downs. Rasmus was 8.10 with a 1.65 WHIP in three relief appearances for Atlanta this season and 3-1 with a 1.72 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 37 appearances for Triple-A Gwinnett.
