A's pitcher Drew Pomeranz activated from 15-day disabled list

The Athletics have officially activated left-hander Drew Pomeranz from the 15-day disabled list, the team announced on Wednesday. Pomeranz was expected to re-join the team Wednesday after spending two weeks on the DL with shoulder inflammation.

To clear room on the 25-man roster, the team optioned pitcher Arnold Leon to Triple-A Nashville.
