Diamondbacks catcher Gerald Laird is scheduled to undergo back surgery Monday, the team announced per MLB.com.
Laird, who is currently on the 15-day DL, was dealing with back spasms dating back to April 9. It is unclear how long Laird will be out of action after the surgery. He has appeared in just one game this season and went 0 for 2 at the plate.
