Jose Tabata starts baseball activities

Pirates outfielder Jose Tabata has been hitting off a tee and engaging in underhanded tossing, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. Tabata, who is on the disabled list with an oblique injury, is tentatively expected to begin a rehab assignment on June 21.
