Kolten Wong begins Triple-A rehab assignment with home run

Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong kicked off a rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis Tuesday, going 2 for 3 with a walk, a double and a home run.

Wong was placed on the disabled list on June 21 with a shoulder injury, but he didn't suffer any structural damage, allowing him to begin a rehab assignment in a relatively short amount of time. He has hit .228/.282/.304 with one home run and 16 RBI in 158 at-bats.
