On Friday night, the World Series returns to Chicago's north side for the first time in 71 years. The Cubs are hosting the Indians in Game 3. Here's how you can watch Game 3.

The last World Series game played at Wrigley Field was on Oct. 10, 1945. The Cubs lost Game 7 to the Tigers by the score of 9-3. The Cubbies were done in by Detroit's five-run first inning.

Here's what the Clark and Addison facade looked like back on the day, the last time Wrigley Field hosted a World Series:

Note the start time: "ONE THIRTY." Of course, Wrigley Field didn't get lights until 1988, so day games were a necessity back then, but still.

A World Series day game would be pretty cool one of these years. All those young fans MLB is trying to cultivate might actually be able to watch more than the first two innings in that case. Crazy idea, I know.

Anyway, here's a look at Wrigley Field as it stands now, prior to Game 3 of the 2016 World Series on Friday. This is the same Clark and Addison facade:

The facade looks the same, but everything else is a wee bit difference. The cars, the surrounding buildings, even the people. Back in the day ballpark attire was a suit and tie. We've come a long, long way since then.
