Mets lose pitcher Logan Verrett to Orioles in Rule 5 draft

The Orioles selected Mets pitcher Logan Verrett in the Rule 5 draft Thursday at the Winter Meetings.

The 2011 third-round pick went 11-5 with a 4.33 ERA in 28 starts last season for Triple-A Las Vegas. He is 28-13 with a 3.89 ERA in 69 career starts in the minors.
