Nationals OF Reed Johnson injures oblique while sneezing

Outfielder Reed Johnson, who was on a rehab assignment with the Nationals' Class A team due to a foot injury, will be sidelined again after injuring his oblique while sneezing, per MASN Sports.

Johnson, who was nearing a potential return to the Nationals, was hit by a pitch in his side, followed that up with violent sneeze and wound up injuring his oblique, much to the amazement of Washington manager Matt Williams. 

"Strange happenings," Williams said. "He got hit in the ribs, and then sneezed and pulled an oblique in the same area. I don't know what it was. But he actually sneezed and he's got an oblique strain. So he's been taken back off of a rehab and we're dealing with that. I've never ... there have been a lot of strange things."

Johnson played 12 games for the Nationals before going on the DL. He was 5-for-16 in five games with Class A Potomac.
