Orioles considering Mark Ellis for second base

According to MASN.com, the Orioles are interested in free agent second baseman Mark Ellis as a possible starter for 2014, particularly if they can't sign incumbent -- and injury-plagued -- second baseman Brian Roberts to a contract with a low base salary.

Ellis became a free agent when the Dodgers declined his 2014 option last month.
