The White Sox have promoted right-hander Taylor Thompson, who has thrived out of the bullpen at Triple-A Charlotte this season.
The 27-year-old Thompson, who has yet to pitch in the major leagues, is 2-0 with a 2.61 ERA. He has given up 39 hits and 24 walks in 48 1/3 innings with 53 strikeouts.
