Braves starting pitcher Tim Hudson allowed two runs in the top of the first inning on 30 pitches Thursday against the Reds but settled down to earn a 6-5 win in his final start before the All-Star break.
Hudson allowed four runs -- three earned -- in seven innings on 107 pitches, 63 for strikes. He struck out five and walked two with 10 of his 21 outs were by groundball. Hudson is 6-7 with a 4.02 ERA.
Hudson has won two starts in a row. His next start might not be until the team's second series after of the break.
