Actress and baseball-lover Alyssa Milano came through with an amazing find on Friday morning. A film archivist at the University of Georgia discovered some rare baseball footage from 1919 that shows African-American plantation workers playing against workers from another plantation, complete with uniforms and everything. Here's the clip:

The baseball footage is only 26 seconds long, and it apparently was shot only to use up the last remaining bit of the film reel so it could be sent off to be developed. It's believed to be the oldest footage of African-Americans playing the game. Amazing stuff.
