Left-hander Wei-Yin Chen will come off the 15-day DL and rejoin the Orioles' rotation on Wednesday, reports MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli. He has missed close to two months with an oblique strain.

Chen, 27, made two minor league rehab starts with the team's Double-A affiliate. He allowed four runs in five innings in the first outing (80 pitches) before tossing seven shutout innings last time out (89 pitches).

Before the injury, Chen went 3-3 with a 3.08 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 2.25 K/BB ratio in eight starts. He finished fourth in the AL Rookie of the Year voting last season by going 12-11 with a 4.02 ERA for the surprising Orioles.

Baltimore signed Chen, who was born in Taiwan, to a three-year contract worth a touch more than $11 million two winters ago. Before coming over to MLB, he pitched for the Chunichi Dragons in Japan from 2004-11.

The Orioles recently added Scott Feldman to their rotation through a trade with the Cubs. Chen will join Feldman, Chris Tillman, Jason Hammel and Miguel Gonzalez in the rotation.
