Yasiel Puig injures thumb Saturday

Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig went 1 for 4 in his team's 7-2 loss to the Giants Saturday but also injured his left thumb while diving into first base, MLB.com reports.

The severity of the injury is unclear, but considering he finished the game, it's likely a minor issue. Puig could be given Sunday off in order to give him two days of rest before the team opens a two-game series against the Tigers Tuesday.
