The Reds released Jorge on March 10.
After joining the organization on a minor-league deal last season, Jorge didn't pitch for any of the Reds' affiliates in 2019, instead spending most of the campaign on the 60-day injured list. It's unclear where the 26-year-old stands on the health front at this stage, but the Reds evidently weren't interested in reserving a spot for him on their pitching staffs at Triple-A Louisville or Double-A Chattanooga.

Reds' Felix Jorge: Sent to minor-league camp
Rotowire
Jorge (triceps) was sent to minor-league camp on Monday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Jorge spent 2018 rehabbing from a triceps injury and hasn't thrown a pitch in a game this spring. He was invited to big-league camp when he signed his minor-league deal with the Reds in January but was never likely to break camp with the team.

Reds' Felix Jorge: Lands NRI deal with Reds
Rotowire
Jorge (triceps) agreed to a minor-league contract with the Reds on Thursday that includes an invitation to major-league spring training, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
The 25-year-old spent all of 2018 rehabbing a triceps injury, but he has a bit of major-league experience from his debut in 2017. However, Jorge hasn't found much success above Double-A in his professional career and his peripheral stats aren't great. Assuming his triceps issue is behind him by the time spring training rolls around, he figures to compete for a back-end rotation spot in spring training, though some time at Triple-A is the more likely conclusion for Jorge this season.

Felix Jorge: Let go by Minnesota
Rotowire
The Twins released Jorge (triceps) on Wednesday.
Minnesota previously designated the 24-year-old for assignment after he made a couple rehab starts for one of the Twins' rookie-level affiliates in late June. The right-hander was first added to the 40-man roster ahead of the 2017 season and made two spot starts for the big club, giving up nine runs over 7.2 innings. Now a free agent, Jorge will look to prove to suitors that the right triceps injury he has battled throughout the season is no longer a concern before he signs with a club.

Twins' Felix Jorge: Removed from 40-man roster
Rotowire
Jorge (triceps) was designated for release or assignment by Minnesota, removing him from the 40-man roster.
Jorge only started pitching again this season after missing the first two months with a triceps injury. He's thrown three innings in a rehab assignment for Minnesota's rookie Gulf Coast League team. Jorge will likely accept an assignment to Double-A Chattanooga.

Twins' Felix Jorge: Sidelined with triceps soreness
Rotowire
Jorge (triceps soreness) will open the year on the disabled list at Double-A Chattanooga, MLB.com's Jonathan Mayo reports.
Despite having over 200 innings under his belt at Double-A and making three starts at Triple-A last year, Jorge was surprisingly assigned back to Chattanooga. It is unclear how much time he will miss with triceps soreness. He doesn't appear particularly close to contributing at the big-league level.

Twins' Felix Jorge: Optioned to Triple-A
Rotowire
The Twins optioned Jorge to Triple-A Rochester on Wednesday.
Jorge had a decent season at Double-A Chattanooga last season with a 3.54 ERA over 134.2 innings, though it came with just a 6.6 K/9 rate. He was called up to the majors for two relief outings, but that was more a function of him being on the 40-man roster when the team had a need rather than his prospect status. Jorge will try to improve at Triple-A, but he more than likely just adds organizational depth. He sports a low-90s fastball, good control and a well-rounded arsenal, but his lack of strikeouts make it unlikely he'll thrive in the majors.

Twins' Felix Jorge: Recalled ahead of start
Rotowire
The Twins recalled Jorge from Double-A Chattanooga on Thursday.
The right-hander will toe the rubber Friday against the Orioles, a daunting matchup. Jorge allowed three runs in five innings against the Royals on July 1 and may only be up again on a temporary assignment.

Twins' Felix Jorge: Will join rotation Friday
Rotowire
Jorge is expected to be recalled from Double-A Chattanooga to start Friday's game against the Orioles, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Jorge held his own in a spot start against the Royals over the weekend, prompting the Twins to give him another turn in the rotation for the injured Hector Santiago (back). He allowed three runs on seven hits in five innings of work to earn the win in his MLB debut. It's unclear how long he'll remain in the rotation at this point, but he could stick around if he pitches well given the inconsistency at the back end of the Twins' rotation.

Twins' Felix Jorge: Optioned to Double-A
Rotowire
Jorge was optioned to Double-A Chattanooga on Sunday, MLB.com reports.
Jorge impressed at times in his big-league debut during the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals, tossing five innings and giving up three runs to earn the win. Since the Twins only needed him as their sixth starter due to the heavy schedule over the past week, Jorge won't stick around in the rotation, but his performance Saturday could make him the top candidate for a promotion the next time a new starter is required.

Twins' Felix Jorge: Candidate to be called up to majors
Rotowire
Jorge could be a candidate to be called up and start for Minnesota on Sunday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "Jorge's numbers of late have been really good," said manager Paul Molitor, though he acknowledged a call-up is a long shot.
Jorge has a 3.00 ERA with a 50:21 K:BB in 72 innings for Double-A Chattanooga. He's not regarded as a top prospect and his potential call-up is more a function that he's already on the 40-man roster. Still, it shows he's having a good season and could be in Triple-A shortly.

Twins' Felix Jorge: Promoted to Double-A
Rotowire
Jorge was promoted to Double-A Chattanooga, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. He was 9-3 with a 1.55 ERA and 77:11 K:BB in 93 innings at High-A Fort Myers.
The 22-year old has improved each of the last two seasons and has emerged as solid prospect with outstanding control (1.1 BB/9). He has just a 7.5 K/9, however, and he may need more strikeouts to thrive at higher levels.
