Gatto has yet to make his major-league debut. The 26-year-old reached Triple-A for the first time in 2021, where he recorded an unremarkable 4.35 ERA in 41.1 innings.

Gatto was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.
The 25-year-old inked a major-league deal with the Rangers in December but will open the season at Triple-A. Gatto will continue working in big-league camp until minor-league camp begins later in March.
