Atlanta manager Walt Weiss said Friday that Acuna (hamstring) likely wouldn't be activated from the 10-day injured list until he can play the outfield, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Weiss had already previously ruled out the possibility of Acuna returning this weekend. Bowman speculates that the club could be targeting May 22 -- which is the beginning of a brief three-game homestand -- for Acuna's return. The star outfielder has been sidelined since early May with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain.

The star outfielder produced his third multi-hit performance in the last five games as he continues to tease a breakout. The steal was Acuna's sixth of the season in 29 games, albeit in 10 attempts. While it's encouraging to see the 28-year-old outfielder running more freely -- it took him 95 games to record 10 SB attempts in 2025 -- Acuna's bat hasn't gotten going yet, as he's slashing .239/.356/.358 with two homers, eight RBI and 14 runs.

After Trea Turner hit a two-run homer in the top of the third inning, Acuna answered right back with a game-tying two-run shot of his own off Andrew Painter in the bottom half of the frame. Acuna exited Monday's game against the Nationals with an undisclosed injury, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Acuna was hit by a pitch twice before leaving the game. The more concerning HBP took place in the top of the sixth inning, when he was struck on the left hand, though he managed to remain in the game to run the bases after being examined by the club's medical staff. Acuna will presumably be sent for further tests to determine the severity of his injury.

The star outfielder's RBI double capped a three-run second inning for Atlanta in what ended up being a 13-1 rout.
