Frelick led off Tuesday's game with a triple but appeared to suffer the injury on the basepaths and quickly exited the contest. Frelick went 5-for-5 with a double, a home run, three RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's game with High-A Wisconsin.
Frelick had seven hits all season prior to Wednesday, but he nearly matched that mark in one contest, and in the process improved his slash line to .300/.404/.450 through 47 plate appearances. Frelick was promoted to High-A Wisconsin on Monday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.
The 2021 15th-overall pick needed just four games to advance from the Arizona Complex League to Low-A in early August, and he'll earn another promotion just 16 games later. Low-A pitching proved to be no match for him, as he hit .437/.494/.592 while striking out just 12.3 percent of the time. As a three-year player at Boston College, Frelick, the No. 15 overall pick in the first-year player draft in July, was never expected to stick around in the ACL for long.
