Cubs' Blake Weiman: Gets minors deal from Chicago

Weiman signed a minor-league contract with the Cubs on Friday. Weiman, 28, spent the 2023 campaign at Triple-A Tacoma in the Mariners organization, holding a 5.17 ERA and 53:23 K:BB over 54 frames. He has yet to make an appearance at the big-league level and is likely headed to Triple-A Iowa to start 2024.
