Flores (hamstring) allowed two runs on six hits while striking out seven over 5.0 innings in his last start Saturday against Double-A Richmond. Flores spent time on the 7-day IL while recovering from a hamstring injury, but he's been cleared to return to action. Tigers' Wilmer Flores: Kicks off rehab assignment
Flores (hamstring) began a rehab assignment with High-A West Michigan on Tuesday, striking out one over two scoreless innings while giving up two hits and no walks. Flores' appearance for West Michigan was his first at any level since July 20 after he had been sidelined with a right hamstring strain. Tigers' Wilmer Flores: Lands on MiLB IL
Flores was placed on the 7-day injured list due to an undisclosed injury Monday, Emily Waldon of Baseball America reports. The move is retroactive to July 22, so he'll be eligible for activation beginning Saturday. Evan Woodbery@evanwoodbery4H agoThe Tigers not only made the Kenta Maeda deal official on Tuesday, they publicly confirmed his salary. To my knowledge, the Braves are the only MLB organization currently doing this. If this is a trend, it's a good one.
