    Flores (hamstring) began a rehab assignment with High-A West Michigan on Tuesday, striking out one over two scoreless innings while giving up two hits and no walks. Flores' appearance for West Michigan was his first at any level since July 20 after he had been sidelined with a right hamstring strain. He remains on Double-A Erie's 7-day injured list but should be activated at some point in early September.

    Flores was placed on the 7-day injured list due to an undisclosed injury Monday, Emily Waldon of Baseball America reports. The move is retroactive to July 22, so he'll be eligible for activation beginning Saturday.
