Orioles' Boston Bateman: Promoted to High-A

Bateman was promoted to High-A Aberdeen on Sunday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports. Bateman has posted a 2.45 ERA and 1.77 WHIP with six strikeouts over 7.1 innings in two starts with Single-A Delmarva since joining the Orioles' organization July 31. In total this season, he has compiled a 3.93 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with 81 punchouts over 75.2 innings in 17 starts with Delmarva and Single-A Lake Elsinore.
