Cole battled for the final spot on Houston's Opening Day roster.

Brian McTaggart@brianmctaggart17H agoThe Astros win their third in a row, beating the Red Sox, 8-1, behind seven innings of one-run ball and nine strikeouts from McCullers and homers from Alvarez, Altuve (2) and Matthews. Astros are 3-2 with Hunter Brown taking the ball tomorrow.
