Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Levi Escobar is a 25-year-old American fighter who has put his training to use with submission victories in his first two professional fights. On Friday, he'll make his third Combate Global appearance when he takes on former welterweight (170 pounds) Daniel Sanchez in a battle at 155 pounds. That fight will headline an action-packed, eight-fight Combate Global card. You can stream the action live on Paramount+.

In another exciting bout on the main Combate Global fight card, former Ohio State wrestler Mark Martin will take on veteran Erick Montano in a welterweight battle. Also featured will be a bantamweight bout between Ismael Zamora and Saul Estrada. The Combate Global fight card begins at 10:30 p.m. ET, and you can catch all the action live on Paramount+.

Combate Global picks for Oct. 29 fight card in Miami

Before tuning into Friday's fight card, you need to see the picks from SportsLine's MMA insider Andrew Gombas. With more than 1,200 selections tracked by the third-party monitoring service Bet MMA, Gombas has shown a 10 percent return on investment for his followers. In 2020, $100 bettors who tailed his picks were up $9,200.

For Friday's Combate Global fight card, Gombas is picking Mark Martin to earn a decision win over Erick Montano. Martin (6-1) is a 28-year-old American fighter who compiled a 66-32 record as a wrestler at Ohio State and should have a decided grappling advantage now that he's settled in as a 170-pounder after wrestling at 197 pounds his senior year in Columbus.

Montano is a former UFC fighter who won a split-decision against Enrique Martin in his Ultimate Fighting Championship debut before losing his next two fights and ultimately exiting the company. Montano is 35 and last fought in September 2019, so a promising young fighter like Martin could be a tall order.

Martin is on a five-fight winning streak entering Friday's bout and his only professional loss came on a split decision in his second professional fight. A win over Montano could help establish himself as a legitimate prospect in the welterweight division.
