Clippers point guard Chris Paul underwent an MRI Sunday and was diagnosed with a Grade 3 AC joint separation, which will keep him out up to six weeks, the team announced. Paul will not need surgery.

Paul suffered the injury in the third quarter of Friday's after coming around a screen and landing awkwardly on his right shoulder. He was immediately taken to the locker room for further tests. In 34 games, Paul was averaging 19.6 points, a league-high 11.2 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game.
