NBA Rumors: Blake Griffin will reportedly meet with Suns on first day of free agency
It appears that the Clippers forward will entertain his options when free agency begins
When the Clippers traded Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, many wondered what that meant for former teammate Blake Griffin, who will reportedly opt out of the final year of his deal with Los Angeles to become a free agent.
The Clippers reportedly want to bring Griffin back, but now Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times reports that Griffin will meet with the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, the first day of the free agency period.

The Suns are an intriguing destination for Griffin, since they already possess a near All-Star level point guard (and former Griffin teammate) in Eric Bledsoe, a potential future superstar in Devin Booker and the No. 4 pick in this year's NBA Draft, Josh Jackson.
Adding the 28-year-old Griffin would take the Suns from a team full of potential to an immediate playoff threat with one of the brightest futures in the league.
If the Clippers lose Griffin the team would be in utter disarray, and would likely have to consider dealing DeAndre Jordan and entering a full rebuild. That being said, reports indicate that the Clippers have every intention of bringing Griffin back this offseason -- the only point of contention is whether to offer him the full five-year max.

Along with Gordon Hayward and Kyle Lowry, Griffin is one of the most coveted free agents of 2017, so chances are the Suns and Clippers won't be the only teams calling.
