Tate has already been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Nuggets, and though Silas said the veteran forward had a strong workout Tuesday and the team is "hopeful" he'll return for the final two games, it's looking more and more likely that his season is over. If that's the case, Tate will end the campaign having played just 31 games while averaging 9.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists over 21.8 minutes. Considering he's set to miss his ninth straight game Tuesday, Tate will likely not handle a large enough role to garner fantasy consideration even if he's active Friday at Charlotte.

Tate missed both of his three-pointers but was efficient from inside the arc en route to his third straight game in double figures. During that stretch, the undrafted forward out of Ohio State has averaged 14.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 24.0 minutes per game. As long as Jalen Green (groin) and Kevin Porter (foot) remain out, Tate is a candidate for increased offensive responsibilities within Houston's offense.
Tate provided 14 points (6-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, four assists and three steals in 28 minutes during Friday's 116-101 loss to Golden State.
Tate had arguably his best game of the season, producing on both ends of the floor despite the loss. The Rockets have now lost eight straight games, leaning heavily into what will end up being another lost season. Tate has started in four consecutive games, although prior to Friday his production had been mediocre, at best. He could be considered in deeper formats, but for those in standard leagues, there is likely to be a more appealing player available on waivers.
