Sykes compiled 19 points (8-16 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 0-1 FT), eight assists, three rebounds and two steals in 34 minutes during Thursday's 127-117 loss to South Bay. Sykes had a stretch of three games last week in which he shot just 17.2 percent from the floor, but he's converted at least half of his field-goal attempts in each of his last two outings. Sykes came within two assists of a double-double Thursday and appears to have returned to form following his cold spell.... See More ... See Less

Keifer Sykes: Inefficient in defeat
Sykes posted four points (1-12 FG, 0-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 11 assists, five rebounds and four steals in 33 minutes during Thursday's 105-99 loss to the 905. Sykes was one of three players to log double-digit field-goal attempts for the Cruise, but he was unable to generate much scoring production in the narrow loss. Although he was effective in other areas, he's now gone 0-for-14 from beyond the arc over the last two games.... See More ... See Less -
Keifer Sykes: Records double-double against Maine
Sykes generated 15 points (6-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 12 assists and a rebound in 33 minutes during Friday's 112-106 loss to Maine. Sykes scored in double figures for a fourth consecutive game Friday and finished with his first double-double of the regular season. The 29-year-old has had a consistent role for the Cruise this year, and that'll likely continue moving forward.... See More ... See Less -
Keifer Sykes: Dishes out seven dimes
Sykes totaled 13 points (5-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven assists, five rebounds and a steal in 28 minutes during Thursday's 132-102 loss to Maine. Although the Cruise fell behind early in Thursday's matchup, Sykes helped propel the team's offense during the blowout loss. He's now scored in double figures in three consecutive matchups and is averaging 11.0 points, 8.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 27.6 minutes per game to begin the regular season.... See More ... Keifer Sykes: Nears double-double in loss
Sykes posted 10 points (4-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds and nine assists in 28 minutes during Thursday's 107-105 loss to Capital City. Sykes wasn't particularly efficient from the floor Thursday, but he still managed to score in double figures. He also tied for the team lead in assists while coming close to his first double-double since Nov. 4.... See More ... See Less -
Keifer Sykes: Returns to action
Sykes (undisclosed) generated four points (1-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight assists, four rebounds and a steal in 23 minutes during Tuesday's 96-88 win over the G League Ignite. Sykes hadn't taken the court since early November due to an undisclosed injury, but he was back in action off the bench Tuesday. Although he was inefficient from the floor, he led the team in assists during the narrow victory.... See More ... See Less -
Keifer Sykes: Hits injured list
The Cruise placed Sykes (undisclosed) on the injured list Wednesday. Sykes hasn't appeared in a game since mid-November, and his placement on the injured list suggests the team doesn't anticipate his return anytime soon. The team acquired Justin Turner in a corresponding move to fill a roster spot.... See More ... See Less -
Keifer Sykes: Doesn't play Thursday
Sykes didn't play Thursday against the Gold due to an undisclosed injury/illness. Sykes posted a double-double in 40 minutes during the Cruise's season opener Nov. 4, but he played just seven minutes during Monday's loss to Windy City. It's unclear what issue he's dealing with or when he'll be able to return.... See More ... See Less -
Keifer Sykes: Posts double-double in OT loss
Sykes totaled 20 points (6-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, 11 assists, two steals and a block in 40 minutes during Friday's 113-111 overtime loss to the Charge. Sykes was let go by the Pistons in mid-September, but he took on a significant role in the G League to begin the 2022-23 campaign. He led the Cruise in playing time during Friday's overtime loss and should continue to handle plenty of work for Motor City.... See More ... See Less -
Keifer Sykes: Cut by Detroit
The Pistons waived Sykes on Sept. 16. The 28-year-old guard was cut two days after he reached an agreement with the Pistons on an Exhibit 10 deal. Unless Sykes elects to pursue opportunities overseas, the Pistons will retain his G League rights.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Keifer Sykes: Inks Exhibit 10 deal
The Pistons signed Sykes to an Exhibit 10 deal Wednesday, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports. Sykes will get a shot at competing for a roster spot during training camp, but he faces an uphill battle in a crowded backcourt. The 28-year-old averaged 5.6 points, 1.9 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 17.7 minutes across 32 appearances with the Pacers as a rookie last year.... See More ... See Less -
Keifer Sykes: Waived by Indiana
Sykes was waived by the Pacers on Wednesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Sykes averaged 5.6 points, 1.9 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 17.7 minutes across 32 appearances this season. In a corresponding move, the Pacers converted Terry Taylor and Duane Washington's two-way deals to multi-year contracts.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Keifer Sykes: Moves back to bench
Sykes will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets. Sykes contributed 16 points, four assists, one rebound and a steal across 34 minutes as a starter in Monday's loss to the Hawks, but he'll shift back to a reserve role on Wednesday as Terry Taylor joins the starting five. He's averaging 5.7 points, 2.0 assists and 1.5 rebounds in 18.4 minutes per game this season.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Keifer Sykes: Set to start
Sykes will start Monday's game against the Hawks, Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files reports. The Pacers initially issued an incorrect lineup featuring Terry Taylor, but it will in fact be Sykes who gets the nod. Indiana will roll with Sykes, Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, Justin Anderson and Goga Bitadze.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Keifer Sykes: Coming off bench
Sykes will come off the bench Friday against the Cavaliers. As expected, Sykes heads to the bench as the Pacers debut a backcourt of Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield and Chris Duarte. Sykes will presumably occupy a much smaller role going forward, especially once Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) is healthy.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Keifer Sykes: In starting five Sunday
Sykes will start Sunday's game against the Cavaliers. The Pacers are already down Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles), but the team also agreed to trade Caris LeVert to the Cavs earlier Sunday, so Sykes will move into the lineup at one guard spot next to Chris Duarte. Both Sykes and Duane Washington could be set for increased roles going forward, particularly if Brogdon remains sidelined and the Pacers don't bring in another guard before the trade deadline. The only player Indiana landed in the LeVert deal is Ricky Rubio, who is out for the season due to a torn ACL.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Keifer Sykes: Heads to bench
Sykes isn't starting Monday's game against the Pelicans, Tony East of the West Indianapolis Community News reports. Sykes will shift to a bench role after starting each of the last two games for the Pacers. Caris LeVert enters the starting five at point guard in his place while Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) continues his rehab.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Keifer Sykes: Comes through in clutch Thursday
Sykes chipped in 10 points (4-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt), four rebounds and three assists in 31 minutes during Thursday's 121-117 overtime win over the Warriors. Sykes was pressed into a starting role with Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) and Caris LeVert (calf) both out of action. The rookie was relatively quiet in regulation, but he produced five points within the final two minutes of overtime to help the Pacers grab the upset victory. Both Brogdon and LeVert could return for Indiana's next game, so Sykes' late-game heroics shouldn't push him onto the fantasy radar.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Keifer Sykes: Set to start Thursday
Sykes is starting in Thursday's game against the Warriors. Sykes will start in his seventh game of the season as Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) and Caris LeVert (calf) will miss Thursday's contest. As a starter, Sykes is averaging 12.0 points, 3.8 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 30.8 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' Keifer Sykes: Returns to starting five
Sykes is starting Friday's game against the Suns. Sykes came off the bench in Wednesday's loss to Boston and totaled two points in five minutes. However, he'll start for the sixth time in the last seven games since Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) is unavailable Friday.... See More ... See Less
