  • Hornets' Miles Bridges: Will be re-evaluated in two weeks

Bridges will miss at least two weeks due to a bone bruise in his right knee, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports. Bridges hyperextended his knee in Wednesday's win over Detroit, though MRI results revealed a bone bruise that will sideline him for an extended period of time. In the 26-year-old forward's absence, Grant Williams (back) and Tidjane Salaun are candidates for an increased role in the frontcourt.

  • Hornets' Miles Bridges: Won't play against Indiana

Bridges has been ruled out for Friday's game versus the Pacers due to a right knee hyperextension. Bridges hyperextended his knee while contesting a Jaden Ivey layup Wednesday and will be forced to miss Friday's contest. • Hornets' Miles Bridges: Leads all scorers in victory

Bridges (knee) closed with 27 points (8-14 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 9-9 FT), seven rebounds and two assists over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 108-107 win over the Pistons. Bridges finally found some rhythm on the offensive end, matching his season high with 27 points. It was a welcome sight after he had shot poorly in each of the four previous games, logging a grand total of just 37 points in that span. Bridges appeared to suffer a hyperextended knee late in the game but was able to return. However, it is something to keep an eye on moving forward, just in case it causes him to pop up on the injury report.

  • Hornets' Miles Bridges: Does little vs. Boston

Bridges finished with six points (2-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and two steals over 31 minutes during Saturday's 113-103 loss to the Celtics. It was Bridges' lowest scoring output of the regular season Saturday as he attempted just six shots from the field. Part of that may have been due to the return of Brandon Miller in the starting lineup, but Bridges should be more involved in the Hornets' offense alongside Miller and LaMelo Ball. Bridges will look to get things right against the Timberwolves on Monday.

  • Hornets' Miles Bridges: Ejected in final seconds

Bridges was ejected from Friday's loss to the Celtics in the final seconds after receiving two technical fouls, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports. After a relatively tight contest against the reigning champions, the Hornets fell off the tracks late, with Bridges and Grant Williams getting ejected and LaMelo Ball also receiving a technical foul. Bridges finished the contest with 14 points (5-16 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and a steal in 31 minutes.

Bridges finished with seven points (2-11 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one block over 24 minutes during Wednesday's 138-133 victory over the Raptors. Bridges had his worst game of the season Wednesday, failing to score double-digit points for the first time in four games. Bridges produced 10 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt), nine rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 110-105 win over the Rockets. Despite missing all three of his three-point attempts, Bridges was Charlotte's third-leading scorer in Wednesday's victory. • Hornets' Miles Bridges: Near double-double vs. Miami

Bridges finished Tuesday's 111-108 win over the Heat with 14 points (5-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds and one assist over 20 minutes. Bridges was the second-leading rebounder for the Hornets on Tuesday behind Moussa Diabate (10). Bridges signed a three-year, $75 million extension with the Hornets in July, and he's expected to build off a strong 2023-24 campaign, during which he averaged 21.0 points on 46.2 percent shooting, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 0.9 steals across 37.4 minutes per game.

  • Hornets' Miles Bridges: Participating in camp

Bridges (wrist) was spotted going through Tuesday's practice to open training camp. Bridges missed the Hornets' season finale April 14 with a wrist injury, but it was likely a precaution with the team having nothing to play for. Bridges has a fresh three-year, $75 million contract with the Hornets, though his usage rate could take a hit this season with LaMelo Ball healthy and Brandon Miller potentially ready for a larger role.

  • Hornets' Miles Bridges: Expected to be available for camp

Coach Steve Clifford said Monday that Bridges (wrist) is expected to be ready in time for training camp, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports. This isn't a huge surprise, as Bridges' right wrist issue is considered minor. In fact, the Hornets were probably being extra cautious because they had nothing to play for at the end of the season. Bridges is set to hit the open market as a free agent and should garner plenty of interest. In 71 appearances in 2023-24, Bridges averaged 21.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.3 three-pointers and 0.9 steals in 37.5 minutes.

Bridges' season -- and potentially his tenure in Charlotte -- come to an end while he sits out the finale with a right wrist contusion. After serving the final 10 games of a suspension to open the campaign, Bridges proceeded to play in all but two of Charlotte's next 71 contests, averaging 21.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.3 three-pointers and 0.9 steals in 37.5 minutes.

Bridges wasn't on Charlotte's initial injury report, but now he and Brandon Miller (wrist) have both popped up on the report with questionable tags. If one or both players are forced to sit, the Hornets could turn to guys like Aleksej Pokusevski and Marques Bolden.

  • Hornets' Miles Bridges: Near triple-double vs. Boston

Bridges closed with 26 points (10-23 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 11 rebounds and eight assists across 43 minutes during Monday's 118-104 loss to the Celtics. Bridges was two assists shy of registering the first triple-double of his career. He's scored 20-plus points in three straight games, and he has led the Hornets in scoring in four of the last six games. • Hornets' Miles Bridges: Scores 27 points in big loss

Bridges recorded 27 points (11-19 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-3 FT), five rebounds and two blocks in 37 minutes during Saturday's 132-91 loss to the Hawks. Bridges was coming off three straight games in which he couldn't reach the 20-point mark, but he bounced back admirably here and was remarkably efficient from the field. However, his contributions didn't help Charlotte in what turned out to be a very one-sided loss. Bridges remains one of the few bright spots in an anemic Charlotte offense, averaging 21.7 points per game since the beginning of March.

  • Hornets' Miles Bridges: Records double-double

Bridges posted 17 points (6-18 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 10 rebounds and three assists over 38 minutes during Friday's 107-96 loss to the Suns. Bridges is known for his scoring ability, but he's been getting the job done on the glass as well, and he's recorded three double-doubles over his last five appearances. On a Hornets team that got dismantled following the trade deadline and that is also missing key players due to injuries, Bridges profiles as the team's most reliable fantasy contributor. He's averaging 22.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 0.8 steals per game since the beginning of March.
