  • Trail Blazers' Justin Minaya: Logs 10 minutes in narrow win

Minaya tallied zero points (0-1 FG), two rebounds and one assist across 10 minutes in Sunday's 112-103 loss to the Nuggets.

Most of Minaya's appearances this season have come in garbage time at the tail end of blowouts, but the two-way player saw nearly all of his minutes before the fourth quarter of a competitive contest largely due to the Trail Blazers being without five players due to injury. If any of Jerami Grant (back), Malcolm Brogdon (knee) and Shaedon Sharpe (abdomen) are back in action Thursday versus the Pistons, Minaya is likely to find himself outside of the rotation.

  • Trail Blazers' Justin Minaya: Not listed on injury report

Minaya (illness) isn't listed on the injury report for Sunday's game against the Bucks.

Minaya missed Wednesday's win over Utah due to an illness but appears to have cleared the aliment. However, he's played double-digit minutes just once this season, averaging 1.4 points and 1.0 rebounds in 6.4 minutes per game across five appearances.

Minaya is averaging just 6.0 minutes across his five appearances this season, so his absence shouldn't impact Portland's rotation. His next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with Milwaukee.

  • Trail Blazers' Justin Minaya: Rocky start to career

Minaya concluded his rookie campaign with averages of 4.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 assists in 22.3 minutes per game over four contests.

Minaya signed a 10-day deal with the Blazers to close the regular season and was featured in the team's last four games. The Providence product was solid defensively, but he struggled on the offensive end, shooting just 30.4 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from three.
