  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Career-high 20 points Thursday

Filipowski posted 20 points (8-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and 10 rebounds over 37 minutes before fouling out of Thursday's 120-116 overtime loss to the Clippers. It was the third double-double of the year for Filipowski, who stepped up with a career-high 20 points in the absence of Walker Kessler (thumb). Through 10 contests as a starter in 2024-25, Filipowski has averaged 9.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.6 steals in 24.6 minutes. With the rebuilding Jazz getting buried in the Western Conference standings ahead of the All-Star break, it wouldn't be surprising to see the rookie big man make additional starts down the stretch of the year.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Back to bench Monday

Filipowski is not in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Lakers, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports. Utah's frontcourt is much healthier Monday, so Filipowski is unsurprisingly heading back to the bench following Saturday's spot start against the Clippers. The rookie second-rounder has averaged 5.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 16.8 minutes over 32 games off the bench this season.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Set to start Saturday

Filipowski will be in the starting lineup Saturday for the Jazz against the Clippers, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. Filipowski will make his eighth start of the season Saturday for Utah, which is dealing with several frontcourt injuries. The rookie big man is averaging 8.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game as a starter while shooting 50 percent from the field.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Scores 10 points in loss

Filipowski provided 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-4 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one steal in 20 minutes during Tuesday's 114-103 loss to the Warriors. Although the Jazz were missing several of their key players for the second leg of this back-to-back set, Filipowski remained in a bench role while Micah Potter and Drew Eubanks started in the frontcourt. For now, Filipowski is just a name to monitor in deeper leagues in case the Jazz open up more playing time for him at the trade deadline. He's averaging 6.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.6 steals over his last 10 appearances in 18.5 minutes per game.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Coming off bench

Filipowski isn't starting Monday's game against the Pelicans, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Filipowski was initially reported to be starting at power forward, but it was Cody Williams who took the court to open the matchup. Filipowski will be deployed off the bench after an apparent miscommunication by the club.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Starting Monday

Filipowski will start for the Jazz in Monday's game against the Pelicans. With Lauri Markkanen (back) and John Collins (hip) out, Filipowski will have another chance to take advantage of starting minutes. In the eight games he did start this season, Filipowski has averaged 8.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.8 steals across 22.5 minutes.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Solid display off bench

Filipowski finished with 12 points (4-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal over 21 minutes during Sunday's 112-111 overtime win over the Nets. Several rookies stood out for the shorthanded Jazz in this tight OT win over the Nets, and Filipowski made his presence felt off the bench with a solid showing on both ends of the court. Even though he's not expected to crack the starting unit any time soon, the former Duke standout could be worth a look as a streaming option in deep formats if he's able to keep this up for the upcoming stretch of games. However, that's likely dependent on whether or not Lauri Markkanen (back), John Collins (hip) and or Walker Kessler (rest) return to action soon.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Available Sunday

Filipowski (ankle) will play Sunday against the Nets. Filipowski will be able to play through an ankle sprain he presumably suffered during Saturday's loss to the Spurs. With Lauri Markkanen (back) out of the lineup, Filipowski could be called upon more often offensively.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Iffy Sunday

Filipowski (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Nets. Filipowski is in jeopardy of missing his first game since Dec. 21 due to a right ankle sprain that he presumably sustained during Saturday's loss to the Suns. The rookie has seen increased run of late, and he has averaged 5.4 points and 6.2 rebounds across 22.8 minutes per contest in his last five appearances. With Filipowski and Lauri Markkanen (back) at risk of joining John Collins (hip) and Walker Kessler (rest) on the sideline, Micah Potter and Cody Williams are candidates for increased roles.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Returns from G League

The Jazz recalled Filipowski from the G League's Salt Lake City Stars on Friday. Filipowski joined the G League club for Tuesday's 115-113 loss to the San Diego Clippers, finishing with eight points (2-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 18 minutes. The rookie second-round pick will rejoin the Jazz ahead of Friday's game against the Suns but may be in store for a small backup role in the frontcourt.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Available to play

Filipowski (lower leg) has been cleared to play Sunday against the Kings, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Filipowski is in line for his first NBA action since Nov. 21 after missing time with a left lower-leg injury. He's expected to come off the bench and will compete for minutes going forward with John Collins as the rookie aims to reclaim his spot in the rotation.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Upgraded to probable

Filipowski (lower leg) is now listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Kings, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. This is positive news for Filipowski, who was initially added to the injury report as questionable due to a lower-leg injury. Expect final word from the club closer to tipoff.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Sent to G League

The Jazz assigned Filipowski (lower leg) to the G League's Salt Lake City Stars on Thursday. Filipowski won't be available for the Jazz's game Friday versus the Trail Blazers, but he could play for the Stars in Friday's matchup with the South Bay Lakers. The rookie second-round pick has missed Utah's last six games due to a left lower leg injury, but his assignment to the G League suggests he's on the cusp of a return.

Filipowski (lower leg) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Portland, KSL Sports reports. Filipowski is still on the mend from a left leg injury and hasn't taken the court since Nov. 21. His next chance to return will arrive Sunday in Sacramento.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Remaining sidelined Tuesday

Filipowski (lower leg) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Thunder, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Drew Eubanks will continue to see increased playing time off the Jazz's bench due to Filipowski's injury.

Filipowski (lower leg) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lakers. Filipowski will miss a fifth straight game due to a left leg injury, including both halves of Utah's current back-to-back set. His next chance to suit up will come Tuesday in Oklahoma City.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Won't play vs. Dallas

Filipowski (leg) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Mavericks, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Filipowski will miss a fourth straight game due to a left leg injury, and his next chance to play will be against the Lakers on Sunday. The Jazz will be getting reinforcements in Lauri Markkanen (personal) and John Collins (knee) for Saturday's contest.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Productive in start Thursday

Filipowski notched 14 points (6-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and a steal across 30 minutes in Thursday's 115-113 win over the Mavericks. Filipowski earned a start for this game after notching a career-high 18-point effort off the bench in a loss to the Suns on Tuesday, and he carried the momentum into this contest. This was his highest-scoring start of the season, and it wouldn't be shocking to see him remain in a starting role when the Jazz take on the Kings on Saturday due to the lack of depth Utah currently has in its frontcourt. Taylor Hendricks (leg) is out, while the status of both Lauri Markkanen (nose) and Walker Kessler (hip) is uncertain in a best-case scenario.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Lands career-high 18 points

Filipowski produced 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 23 minutes during Tuesday's 120-112 loss to Phoenix. Filipowski poured in a career-high 18 points, logging at least 23 minutes for the second straight game. It's been an up-and-down season for the rookie, his role seemingly changing on a nightly basis. Given what we have seen thus far from the Jazz, there is certainly a world in which they are eliminated from the postseason discussion sooner rather than earlier. Should this be the case, Filipowski's minutes could increase on a more consistent basis.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Impresses in SL finale

Filipowski recorded 26 points (8-22 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 7-7 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals in 33 minutes during Sunday's Summer League finale against the Pistons. Filipowski impressed in Utah's final Summer League matchup, posting game-high marks in points and rebounds. After a productive showing in the Summer League, Filipowski turns his sights to the regular season. The Duke product will likely have to earn his playing time to begin the season, but he could carve out a role alongside Lauri Markkanen and Taylor Hendricks as the season progresses.
