  • Caleb McConnell: Waived by Houston

    McConnell was waived by the Rockets on Friday. McConnell signed with the Rockets earlier Friday but was waived shortly after, likely paving the way for him to join their G League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. The Rutgers product spent last season with the Hornets' G League team, the Greensboro Swarm, where he averaged 5.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.7 steals across 26 appearances.

  • Thunder's Caleb McConnell: Set to play in preseason opener

    Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said Friday that McConnell (concussion) is on track to play in Monday's preseason game against the Spurs, Rylan Stiles of Thunderous Intentions reports. McConnell suffered a concussion during the 2023 Summer League but is healthy for the preseason. McConnell will look to impress this preseason in order to obtain a regular-season roster spot with the Thunder.
