Lakers' Tyson Chandler: Will remain in starting five
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Chandler will remain in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Thunder, Kyle Goon of Southern California News Group reports.

On the heels of an ugly loss to the Cavs over the weekend, coach Luke Walton inserted Chandler into the starting five for Tuesday's game against the Bulls. While the veteran's numbers weren't overly impressive -- eight points, three rebounds, one block -- Walton praised his defensive intensity to begin the game. Chandler, who played 26 minutes Tuesday, will again start over JaVale McGee, while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will get the nod at shooting guard over Josh Hart.

Lakers' Tyson Chandler: Solid in spot start
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Chandler tallied eight points (3-3 FG, 2-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one block across 26 minutes in the Lakers' 107-100 win over the Bulls on Tuesday.

Chandler was one of two new entrants into the starting five -- Kentavious Caldwell-Pope being the other -- and he responded with a solid performance over what was his highest allotment of minutes since Dec. 5. The 36-year-old has proven that he's still capable of serviceable contributions on both the scoreboard and the boards on multiple occasions this season, so he remains a viable option for Luke Walton as a starter if the Lakers coach opts to stick with Tuesday's version of the starting five for the moment.

Lakers' Tyson Chandler: Confirmed starter Tuesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Chandler will start as expected Tuesday against the Bulls, Mike Trudell of the Lakers' official site reports.

With the Lakers losing seven of the past 10 games, coach Luke Walton seems to be looking for a spark. In starting Chandler over JaVale McGee, coach Walton pointed to Chandler's vocal leadership -- something that hasn't been as prominent with the starters since LeBron has been sidelined. It's not clear if this move will be permanent.

Lakers' Tyson Chandler: Likely to start Tuesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Chandler is likely to start Tuesday against the Nuggets, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Amidst seven losses over the past 10 games, it appears coach Luke Walton is planning on making some changes. Chandler has played a combined nine minutes over the past two contests, so this role change would be significant.

Lakers' Tyson Chandler: Dominates boards off bench
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Chandler contributed six points (2-4 FG, 2-6 FT) but added 15 rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 24 minutes in the Lakers' 118-107 loss to the Clippers on Friday.

Chandler outpaced starter Ivica Zubac by five minutes and generated a team-high rebounding total. The 18-year veteran has been a force on the boards over the last two games, as he'd pulled down 10 rebounds as well Friday against the Kings. Chandler's production hasn't been anywhere near consistent, however, particularly on the offensive end. Therefore, his utility is primarily limited to deep formats and as a DFS punt option. Moreover, given that Zubac has shown nice upside in some recent games, it remains to be seen how the minutes at the five will be divided once JaVale McGee (illness) returns to action.
