Anunoby had 19 points (6-14 FG, 4-10 3PT, 3-4 FT) and six rebounds in Monday's summer league win over the Thunder.
Anunoby is probably a bit overqualified for summer league, though he has struggled a bit from the floor during the Raptors' first three games. The second-year wing hit four threes on Monday, however, and he added two blocks in 27 minutes.
Through two summer league games, Anunoby has struggled to knock down shots consistently, as he's combined to go just 30.8 percent from the field and 20 percent from three-point land. However, his work on the boards Sunday was a team-high total and it was encouraging for his all-around production looking forward to the rest of the schedule. Considering Anunoby averaged a respectable 20.0 minutes across 74 games during his rookie season, he's likely in line for significant run again during the upcoming campaign despite failing to post the big numbers one would expect against the lesser competition in the summer league.
Anunoby provided nine points (3-11 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), a team-high seven boards, one steal and one block across 27 minutes during Friday's 90-77 loss to the Pelicans.
Anunoby, a 37.1 percent three-point shooter during his rookie year, couldn't find the bottom of the net Friday. But, he was able to make an impact on the boards (three offensive) and fill out defensive stats. His next chance to improve arrives Sunday against the Timberwolves.
Anunoby collected 18 points (7-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 0-2 FT), four rebounds and one block across 33 minutes during Toronto's 105-103 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference semifinal-round playoff series.
The rookie's breakout offensive performance helped make up for the considerable struggles of DeMar DeRozan, and his scoring total served as a postseason high. Anunoby also drained a playoff-best four three-pointers on his way to seventh playoff contest with better than 50.0 percent shooting. Anunoby will look to provide a similar caliber of performance when the Raptors try to avoid a series sweep in Monday's Game 4.
Anunoby (ankle) is not on the injury report for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Wizards, Zach Rosen of the Wizards' official site reports.
Anunoby picked up an ankle injury during Game 4, but it's apparently not serious at all, as he's completely off the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game. Through the series, he's averaged 9.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 22.3 minutes.
