Anunoby posted six points (2-3 FG, 2-2 3Pt) and two rebounds in 13 minutes during Tuesday's 115-112 win over the Heat.
The Raptors kept Anunoby restricted to just 13 minutes due to the ankle tweak he suffered on Sunday night. He felt strong enough to take the floor and connected on the two 3 -pointers he attempted. While he has been starting for the Raptors with some regularity, he hasn't shown the ability to be reliable from a fantasy standpoint.
Anunoby (ankle) has been cleared to play in Tuesday's matchup with the Heat, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
Anunoby tweaked his ankle during Sunday's game against the Hornets, but it's clearly nothing too serious as it won't force him to miss any time. After the ankle checked out fine during his pregame routine, Anunoby is set to take on his typical spot in the starting lineup and doesn't currently project to have any sort of restrictions. Despite continuing to run with the starters, Anunoby has played 21 minutes or less in each of the last four contests, which severely restricts his fantasy potential.
Anunoby's (ankle) status for Tuesday's game against the Heat remains uncertain, Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports reports.
Anunoby appeared to twist his ankle during Sunday's matchup with the Hornets, leaving the contest after just 11 minutes. He's still dealing with some soreness and with the Raptors heading into a back-to-back set, there's a good chance Anunoby ends up sitting out as a precautionary measure Tuesday. That said, coach Dwane Casey said Anunoby would be able to play if was a playoff game, so the ankle injury doesn't appear to be anything overly serious. Consider him questionable for Tuesday's contest.
Anunoby won't return to Sunday's game against the Hornets after spraining his ankle, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports.
Anunoby twisted his ankle just before halftime Sunday and limped to the locker room before ultimately being ruled out for the remainder of the contest. He finished with one assist and one rebound in 11 minutes of action. Look for C.J. Miles and Norman Powell to see some extra time with Anunoby out. Anunoby's first chance to return will be on Tuesday against the Heat.
Anunoby recorded 11 points (4-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt) and three rebounds across 21 minutes during a 122-119 loss to the Wizards on Thursday.
After three consecutive single-digit scoring efforts, Anunoby heated up a bit in the loss. The three three-pointers made marked his best total from downtown since Dec. 20. Anunoby has only scored in double figures in consecutive games once this season, but we'll see if he can buck that trend against the Trail Blazers on Friday.
