Anunoby contributed 20 points (7-9 FG, 6-7 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal across 31 minutes during a 129-111 win over the Hornets on Wednesday
Anunoby's 20 points marked a season high in the blowout victory, as did the six three-pointers made. The rookie probably isn't on the radar yet as a consistent performer, but he has turned in two consecutive games of double-figure scoring for the first time all season, and has a total of nine three-pointers made over that stretch as well. His value will take a slight hit when C.J. Miles (mouth) returns to action.
Anunoby registered nine points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds across 19 minutes in Wednesday's 115-109 win over the Suns.
Anunoby bounced back to an extent from a pair subpar offensive outings against the Kings and Clippers, a two-game stretch in which he'd scored just eight points over 53 minutes. The 2017 first-round pick usually plays a decidedly complementary role on offense given the scoring acumen of his first-unit teammates, but he's proven capable of the occasional double-digit scoring effort as well. However, his production in other categories has been below average, keeping his fantasy value considerably capped for the time being.
Anunoby recorded 16 points (6-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 129-113 win over the Rockets.
Drawing his first career start in place of an injured Norman Powell (hip), Anunoby was extremely efficient, finishing with career highs in scoring, made field goals, threes, and minutes. The Raptors' rookie offers defensive upside and versatility that's unmatched by any wing on the roster, and that alone should help him earn a more consistent and substantial role as the season goes on.
Anunoby will enter the starting five for Tuesday's game against the Rockets.
The Raptors are set to be without Norman Powell (hip) on Tuesday and instead of going with C.J. Miles in his place, Anunoby will actually pick up his first career start. The rookie out of Indiana has averaged 16.8 minutes so far this season, but should see a sizable increase in his playing time while working with the top unit. While Anunoby will likely be getting his first extended run of the season, Miles should also help cover some of Powell's minutes as well, meaning both stand to see boosted fantasy value for the time being.
Anunoby scored nine points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding three rebounds and two assists in 17 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 117-100 win over the Bulls.
The 23rd overall pick in this year's draft hoisted an air ball for his first NBA shot, but Anunoby quickly got into the rhythm of the game after that. Raptors coach Dwane Casey seems intent on letting the rookie become a regular part of the club's second unit, and while his still-developing offensive skills could leave his production erratic as the season progresses, Anunoby's length, athleticism and defensive ability have him ahead of second-year forward Pascal Siakam in the rotation for the time being.
